Job Opportunity: Children’s Social Worker (Initial Response Team) 
Location: Newcastle Council
Contract Duration: 13 Months
Hourly Rate: £27.56 LTD or £21.70 PAYE

About the Role As a Children’s Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing and responding to the needs of children and young people at risk. You’ll work alongside a multi-agency team to ensure timely, effective support and interventions are in place, making a real difference in people’s lives.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and deliver targeted interventions
• Work directly with children, young people, and families to identify their needs
• Develop and implement effective, child-centered support plans
• Collaborate with health, education, and community partners
• Maintain detailed, accurate case records
• Provide compassionate guidance and advocacy for families in crisis

• Qualified Social Worker (e.g., SW, LCSW, CBT)
• Proven experience working in children's social care
• Strong assessment and safeguarding skills
• Excellent communication and collaborative working abilities
