Our client is a well established construction company based in Liverpool. Working on industrial, residential, and commercial projects ranging in value, they are now looking for an experienced Planner to join their team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Construction Planner to predominantly support the project teams with delivering projects and also produce some tender programmes.The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Work closely with project managers and teams to define and track project milestones, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to address delays or changes.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on project status, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Identify and manage potential project risks and delays.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant safety, quality, and legal standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender bids and project proposals.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of project strategies and plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in construction planning and scheduling (minimum of 4-5 years).
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and project management techniques.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
