Hybrid: 2 days working in office and 3 days working from home.

The Role

As a Loans Agency Associate, you'll take ownership of operational aspects for a dedicated portfolio of loans, serving as the primary point of contact for borrowers and lenders throughout the transaction lifecycle. This role offers excellent exposure to sophisticated financial instruments and the opportunity to develop deep expertise in loan administration and client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Management:

• Oversee drawdowns, rollovers, rate fixes, pre-payments, redemptions and maturities across your assigned portfolio
• Process complex calculations including principal repayments, interest, commitment fees, and specialised events such as PIK and non-pro rata distributions
• Manage seamless funds flow between borrowers and lenders, ensuring accurate and timely settlements

Systems & Operations:

• Utilise the system for data input and transaction processing
• Execute payments through Barclays.Net and coordinate foreign exchange transactions when required
• Generate and distribute critical notices to stakeholders within strict regulatory timeframes
• Maintain accurate account reconciliations and system updates

Client Service Excellence:

• Handle sophisticated client queries with professionalism and technical accuracy
• Manage transfer requests and novations, ensuring full compliance with transaction documentation
• Process both clearpar and offline settlements with precision
• Coordinate audit requests and provide comprehensive documentation support

Risk Management & Compliance:

• Conduct thorough due diligence to identify potential fraud, money laundering, and reputational risks
• Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Escalate relevant matters to senior team members in a timely manner

What We're Looking For

Essential Skills:

• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Experience with financial systems and transaction processing (Solvas knowledge preferred)
• Understanding of loan documentation and banking operations
• Proficiency in reconciliation and payment processing
