We're Hiring: Subcontract Lead | Rochester, Kent | £65,000 + Bonus

Are you ready to lead critical subcontracting efforts for cutting-edge engineering projects? We're looking for an experienced Subcontract Lead to join a growing team in Rochester, Kent.

What you’ll be doing:

• Lead end-to-end subcontract management, from requirement development to selection and negotiation
• Manage documentation, reports, and subcontractor performance against key milestones
• Negotiate contracts and resolve issues, ensuring full compliance and quality delivery
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain effective supplier interfaces
• Identify risks and manage variations to mitigate impacts
• Occasional travel to supplier sites in the UK and overseas

What you’ll bring: Essential:

• Strong background in subcontract, commercial, or project management
• Demonstrated experience negotiating complex contracts
• Proven track record of delivering major subcontract obligations
• Industry experience in complex engineering or manufacturing environments

Desirable:

• Exposure to defence or aerospace sectors
• Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g. Engineering, procurement, project management)
• Knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, or optical commodities
