Job description

Thrive is a new business, grown from Blackfinch Group, built to tackle one of the most overlooked challenges in the workplace: financial wellbeing. It’s backed by deep experience, expert knowledge, and a clear mission to make a real difference for businesses and their teams.

Empowering financial confidence: Thrive is transforming workplace financial wellbeing.

What if your next role was interesting, exciting, and meaningful. What if it helped people sleep better at night?

At Thrive, we believe financial confidence isn’t a luxury. It’s a foundation for a better life, today and tomorrow. Our all-in-one financial wellbeing platform brings together pensions, employee benefits and real human financial coaching to give employees clarity, control and confidence over their finances. Meanwhile, we help businesses cut admin, stay compliant and drive real engagement.

We’re scaling fast, backed by purpose, and powered by intuitive tech.

Our mission? To deliver meaningful financial wellbeing for millions helping businesses and their people thrive.

To support this mission, we’re looking for a Product Owner to join us at a pivotal stage of growth.

What you’ll be doing

  • Own the product backlog: define, prioritise, and refine product requirements aligned with our vision and customer needs.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, operations, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality features and improvements.
  • Lead on identifying requirements and turning them into clear, actionable user stories and roadmaps.
  • Prioritise and manage the engineering team’s backlog including issue resolution vs. New feature requirements.
  • Produce and communicate sprint review and leadership team reports.
  • Turn ambiguity into clarity: translating business challenges into actionable product solutions.
  • Engage with users, partners, and internal teams to gather insights, validate hypotheses, and continuously improve the product.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define product roadmaps and strategic priorities.
  • Ensure that delivered products meet user needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
  • Be a champion for simplicity, usability, and impactful problem-solving in everything we build.
  • Work with 3rd parties to integrate products and services into Thrive.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a tech-led environment.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive initiatives forward.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, you’re comfortable aligning technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable user stories and roadmaps.
  • Experience working with agile teams and iterative product development.
  • Passion for building products that have a real-world, positive impact.
  • Financial services, pensions, or employee benefits experience is desirable but not essential, curiosity, drive, and user focus matter more.

What we offer

  • Salary of £60,000–£70,000 depending on experience.
  • Remote-first working with regular in-person meetups.
  • A chance to build and shape a meaningful fintech product from the ground up.
  • A supportive, purpose-led team where your ideas will be heard and valued.
  • Plenty of opportunity to grow as we scale.
  • Additional benefits to be discussed.

If you’re excited by the idea of building products that simplify the hard stuff, empower people, and actually change lives, Thrive could be your next home. Apply now and help shape the future of financial wellbeing.
