Project Finance Specialist in City of London

Job description

Stanton House are working with a fast growing tech business who are on the look out for a Project Systems Accountant to lead the consolidation of financial data into a centralised database to support robust commercial decision-making and financial planning.

This hands-on role will bridge Finance, IT, and operational teams, ensuring that complex datasets across revenue streams and cost centres are integrated into an accessible and reliable structure, supporting both actual reporting and future estimations.

Role - Finance Systems Accountant

Location - Central London

Day Rate Contract - £400 to £450

Contract Length - 6 months (Likelihood of extension)

Hybrid Working - 2 days office based per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the project management and delivery of a consolidated reporting database combining financial and operational metrics.
• Collaborate with IT and finance stakeholders to ensure systems and databases (notably ERP Business Central) support business and reporting needs.
• Reconcile data sources to ensure completeness, accuracy, and consistency across datasets.
• Design and implement data models to enable timely consolidation of revenue and cost streams with a focus on commercial outcomes and P&L insight.
• Analyse and manipulate data using Excel and Google Sheets, with light SQL knowledge to query and test data structures.

Candidate Requirements:

• Proven experience in financial consolidations, reconciliation, and systems implementation or transformation.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, and familiarity with SQL or data querying.
• Experience working with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Commercial acumen and understanding of P&L dynamics, ideally within multi-stream revenue environments.
