Nights Manufacturing Lead - Fabrication

Wakefield

Permanent Nights – Monday – Thursday 8pm – 7am

Elevation Recruitment Group are proud to be exclusively supporting one of our West Yorkshire based clients in their search for a Manufacturing Lead to oversee all steel fabrication activities across the night shift. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll supervise a team of welders and fabricators to ensure production runs safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Lead include:

• Lead the fabrication team to meet daily and weekly targets for steel frames and assemblies
• Supervise welding, cutting, and assembly tasks to ensure compliance with drawings and production specs
• Provide technical guidance and development opportunities to your team
• Promote and maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment
• Monitor stock levels of consumables, tools, and materials to prevent downtime
• Collaborate with QA and H&S teams to address issues and implement continuous improvements
• Support a culture of accountability, quality, and efficiency across the team

We’re looking for Manufacturing Leaders with the below skills & experience:

• Hands-on experience in a fabrication or steel manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical and fabrication drawings
• Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of welding standards and fabrication practices
• Strong awareness of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
• Positive, proactive leadership style and effective communication skills
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalent
• Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
