Job description

We are currently recruiting for a brand-new Research Specialist vacancy, on behalf of a leading US law firm.

This is a permanent opportunity in their London office, to work as part of their collaborative Research Services team.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Performing non-legal research across a variety of practice areas.
  • Analysing requests to identify the best research resources.
  • Selecting resources and search strategies; demonstrating a high level of proficiency in research.
  • Presenting research results in a clear and concise manner and making suggestions for any further research requirements.
  • Maintaining a level of expertise in tools including Westlaw Edge, Lexis+ UK and Practical Law, as well as specialised tools.
  • Taking ownership of projects and working to tight deadlines.

Suitable applicants will be degree-educated, dynamic, and have demonstrable experience of providing a high level of research support in a law firm, or professional services setting. We are seeking candidates with strong working knowledge of business research, excellent client-service skills, exemplary communication skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities.
