Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing (New Builds & Refurbishments)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic and growing team based in Brighouse. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a range of social housing new build and refurbishment projects across West Yorkshire and surrounding areas. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, cost-effective housing solutions that directly impact local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full commercial lifecycle of residential projects from tender to final account
• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and valuations
• Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control throughout
• Liaise closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure financial performance
• Produce monthly cost/value reconciliation reports
• Identify and manage risk, ensuring contractual and commercial compliance

About You

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Proven track record in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within the social housing sector
• Experience with both new build and refurbishment projects
• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and construction legislation
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
