Job description

We are recruiting for a business involved in a major infrastructure project. We are seeking a Land & Property Surveyor to work across a range of tasks including managing landowner, assessing property cost estimates and land acquisitions and reporting on land and property progress.


Responsibilities and Accountabilities


  • Lead engagement with landowners and their representatives, ensuring open and effective communication.
  • Report regularly on the progress and quality of land and property deliverables.
  • Manage land and property assets held by the project prior to construction and operation.
  • Delivering land acquisition via compulsory purchase
  • Planning & Development appraisals and management
  • Preparing and securing approval for strategies and plans that guide delivery.
  • Financial forecasting and producing Property Cost Estimates.
  • Supporting procurement processes, onboarding suppliers, and assisting contract management.
  • Collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to deliver a land and property programme, including acquisition, transfer, and disposal.
  • Managing external relationships to understand stakeholder needs, and negotiating land access or use with landowners
  • Preferred experience includes land acquisition, developing strategies and forecasts, and working client-side
  • Candidates should have skills in procurement, supplier onboarding, and managing cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, the ability to communicate complex property issues clearly, and experience with programme management and regulatory compliance.
