Order Processing Specialist (12-Month FTC – With Permanent Potential)

Location: West Midlands - (Hybrid – 1 day WFH after induction)

Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term (potential to go permanent)

Salary: Up to £35,000 + Excellent benefits

Hours: 37.5 per week (Mon–Fri, 08:30–16:30)

The Role


This is a key role within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Centre, where you’ll take ownership of the entire order processing lifecycle from the moment a customer order is received through to delivery and invoicing.


You’ll liaise across internal teams (finance, logistics, and production) and externally with customers, suppliers, and international colleagues. You’ll help ensure the seamless coordination of orders while identifying opportunities to improve processes.



Key Responsibilities


  • Own and manage the full order to invoice cycle
  • Create orders, raise purchase requests, and generate delivery documentation
  • Liaise with logistics and suppliers to track orders and manage import/export processes
  • Support the finance team on invoicing, tax compliance, and overdue payments
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and shipments
  • Work on continuous improvement initiatives within the CRM/order cycle process



Ideal Candidate

Must-Haves:


  • Strong experience in order processing (not solely logistics-based)
  • Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Confident communicator across phone and email
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Experience in industrial/manufacturing/engineering environments advantageous
  • Comfortable managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced setting
  • Looking for a long-term opportunity (not just interim cover)




Nice to Haves:


  • Understanding of customs and international shipping processes
  • Familiarity with certifications and compliance documentation
