Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: L9, Liverpool

Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Start Date: September

A supportive and friendly primary school in the L9 area of Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning through small group interventions, with a particular focus on early literacy development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support class teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons and activities
• Deliver targeted phonics interventions, ideally using the Read Write Inc. Scheme
• Work with small groups of children to support literacy, numeracy, and social skills
• Assist with classroom management and preparation of resources
• Monitor and record pupil progress under the direction of the class teacher
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience delivering phonics sessions (Read Write Inc. Experience is highly desirable)
• Previous experience running or supporting small group interventions
• A proactive, flexible, and caring approach to supporting children
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
