Phonics Buddy – Intervention Support

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone confident in delivering structured phonics support and can build strong, positive relationships with children who may need a little extra help to reach their potential.

About the Role:

• Delivering 1:1 and small group phonics interventions using the Read Write Inc program
• Supporting children in EYFS and KS1 who are working below age-related expectations in reading and phonics
• Helping pupils build confidence, fluency, and phonemic awareness
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to track progress and adapt support
• Creating a fun, encouraging, and inclusive environment that promotes a love of reading

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience delivering Read Write Inc. Phonics (essential)
• Previous experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within EYFS/KS1
• Confident in delivering interventions independently and managing small groups
• A patient, nurturing approach with strong communication skills
• Ability to engage and motivate children of varying abilities
