AI-Assisted Financial Reporter

We are looking for a Financial Reporter who will embrace emerging AI tools to assist in the delivery of real-time news. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is inquisitive, analytical, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and has an interest in economics, finance, and political risk.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstratable interest and experience of using AI tools.

We are a rapidly expanding team of experienced economists, FX/Fixed Income/Credit/Commodity Analysts and former traders drawn from the investing banking, hedge fund and macro research industries. We deliver real-time analysis and insight on the global economy and financial markets to a diverse client base that includes traders, portfolio managers, economists, and strategists.

The principal responsibilities of this position include:

• Cover major market moves across asset classes, with a focus on macroeconomic and geopolitical drivers.
• Deliver sharp, timely reporting and analysis that helps professional readers cut through the noise.
• Work closely with editors and analysts to identify key narratives, trends, and inflection points.
• Collaborate with data teams and developers to shape smarter, tech-enhanced workflows for financial journalism.

Essential requirements for this role:

• Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree.
• 2+ years of reporting experience (markets, economics, or finance-focused ideal).
• Demonstratable passion for financial markets and a deep understanding of market drivers.
• Interest in AI with relevant experience such as using data tools or automation within journalism or finance.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Able to deliver concise, insightful, and market-relevant content in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
