Real Estate Managing Associate — Fast Track to Partnership

Location: London

Salary: Competitive + Partnership Track

PQE: 6+ Years


Ortus Group has been retained by a growing, entrepreneurial London law firm is seeking a commercially-minded Managing Associate to join its well-regarded Real Estate practice. This is a strategic hire with a clear fast track to partnership, offering genuine influence within the team and exposure to a strong client base.


The Opportunity

You’ll work closely with an experienced and ambitious partnership team, advising a mix of investors, developers, owner-occupiers, and high-net-worth individuals across a range of commercial property matters. The firm has a strong pipeline of work and is investing heavily in its real estate platform, creating an excellent runway for senior lawyers seeking to build and shape their own practice.


The incoming Managing Associate will be a key part of the team’s succession planning and will have the opportunity to step into partnership within a realistic timeframe, not years away, but firmly on the near-term horizon. The incoming Managing Associate will be responsible of managing a small team of 3 junior fee earners and will inherit a full caseload from day one.



Work Will Include:

  • Acquisitions and disposals (individual assets and portfolios)
  • Commercial leases (acting for both landlords and tenants)
  • Development work including pre-lets, site assembly and funding arrangements
  • Asset management and strategic land projects
  • Supporting clients with corporate real estate and joint venture structures


What They’re Looking For:

  • 6+ PQE with a strong background in commercial real estate
  • Experience gained at a reputable City, West End, or regional firm
  • Ambition to step into a leadership role and drive client relationships
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to work directly with decision-makers
  • An interest in business development and growing your own client following
