I am working a well-established UK-based FMCG manufacturer with over 30 years of experience, serving a diverse range of markets.

They are looking for a Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing products and raw materials, managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials. The role requires collaboration across internal departments to support production goals and compliance with environmental and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers
• Manage and maintain strong supplier relationships
• Monitor and respond to market trends
• Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and safety standards
• Collaborate with production, planning, and quality teams
• Maintain accurate records using procurement software

Requirements

• Strong negotiation and contract management skills
• Familiarity with environmental and safety compliance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in procurement systems and software
