As we scale, we’re looking for a strategic and hands-on Head of Operations to join our leadership team.
Job Summary
We’re seeking a seasoned operations leader with a proven track record in e-commerce to take ownership of Poubel’s backend operations. You’ll oversee day-to-day logistics, manage 3PL and supplier relationships, and ensure that every operational aspect of the business is running smoothly and efficiently. From product development through to order fulfillment, you will play a key role in scaling our operational infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics Management: Oversee end-to-end logistics, including warehousing, inventory management, shipping, and returns.
- 3PL Oversight: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure performance metrics are met and continuously improved.
- Supplier & Sampling Management: Lead outreach to suppliers, manage sampling processes, and oversee production timelines and quality control.
- Negotiations: Drive cost savings and efficiency through contract negotiation and vendor management.
- Wholesale Operations: Oversee the operational aspects of our wholesale business, including order processing, inventory coordination, and fulfillment for retail partners.
- Process Optimization: Implement and refine operational processes to support scaling efforts across supply chain and fulfillment.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, and Finance teams to align on timelines, inventory planning, and demand forecasting.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key operational metrics, generate reports, and provide insights to guide strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in e-commerce operations, preferably in a consumer goods or fashion/accessory brand.
- Strong experience managing 3PL relationships and global supply chains.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and partners.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, Shopify (or similar e-commerce platforms), and ERP tools is a plus.
