Job description
We're Hiring: Patent Attorneys – Electronics / Engineering / Software
Multiple clients | Roles from Finalist to 4 Years PQE | UK & EP Qualified (or near-qualified)
We’re working with a range of leading firms and who are actively expanding in London and across the UK. As a result, we’re looking to speak with Patent Attorneys at Finalist level through to 4 years’ PQE with a technical background in electronics, engineering, or software.
These opportunities span across private practice offering high-quality work, career progression, and the chance to work with innovative, global clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and prosecuting UK, EP, and international patent applications
- Advising clients on patentability, freedom-to-operate, infringement, and validity issues
- Supporting contentious matters including oppositions and appeals at the EPO
- Working closely with inventors, R&D teams, and stakeholders across multiple industries
- Managing a varied portfolio of cutting-edge technologies
- Contributing to business development and client relationship management
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- A technical background in electronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, software, or similar
- UK and European qualification (or nearing completion)
- Strong drafting and prosecution experience across relevant technologies
- Commercial awareness and the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly
- A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent attention to detail
