We are excited to be working on a fantastic opportunity for a Professional Standards and Quality Specialist to join a leading international law firm. This role is pivotal in ensuring the firm maintains the highest standards of practice and compliance within the SRA regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that the firm and its lawyers deliver work to clients of the highest standards, adhering to current best practices and professional obligations.
  • Supervision: Oversee the supervision of work at all levels, with a focus on the hybrid working environment and the adoption of AI technologies.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Compliance & Risk team to identify necessary changes and improvements to existing processes and standards, particularly around professional conduct, ethical behaviour, professional skills, client service, and work quality.
  • Training and Development: Devise and deliver training programmes for staff at all levels, covering professional conduct, ethical behaviour, professional skills, client service, and work quality.
  • Performance Management: Work closely with HR Business Partners to ensure CPD is fully integrated into the performance management review process. Provide monthly management reports for all mandatory compliance training.

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in conduct compliance, ethical practice, professional skills training, and/or quality management within a professional services environment.
  • An excellent understanding of the SRA’s Standards and Regulations.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with colleagues of all levels of seniority across the firm internationally, both legally qualified and non-qualified staff.
