Job description

You will be working alongside an established and experienced team who will support you. You will service appointed client accounts throughout the year, including the renewal process. This could include client contact and relationship building, administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters and processing adjustments and other documentation as required. The role is extremely varied providing the opportunity to learn a range of skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Alongside your team, you will focus entirely on the support needs of your clients. This is why you will be a great communicator and have the customer needs at the centre of your actions, being the catalyst between the Mortgages and Commercial Finance team to drive business forward.
  • The role will mean preparing new business presentations, creating renewal documents and handling the mid-term adjustments. Strong administration skills will show us your true potential.
  • A key part of your role will be to ensure client details are accurately recorded and entered on to our in-house system – Acturis. This allows us to keep records updated for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Client deadlines and the ability to adopt organisational excellence is very important, allowing you to ensure cover is in place by the required date, meeting client needs. To do this you will be required to demonstrate exceptional time-keeping ability and a practical approach to multi-tasking.
  • On a day-to-day basis, you will look after insurer queries for client policies, assisting clients with their queries relating to existing policies and liaising with insurers regarding potential changes and new terms for policies. You will be required to confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required.
  • An important task is the management of account queries and credit control matters which you will help in highlighting any concerns with clients, whilst preparing invoices and other documentation.
  • Understanding and application of legal and regulatory policies as required by our governing body, and working in line with the Mantra Employee Handbook.


Person Specification:

  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both clients and internal teams.
  • Background within insurance or financial services.
  • Familiarity with general insurance processes.
  • Experience working with a variety of insurance documents, including new business presentations, renewals, and mid-term adjustments (MTAs).
  • Strong administrative capabilities, including accurate document preparation, data entry, and maintaining organised records.
  • Proficient in using Acturis or a similar insurance management system (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Good understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements within the insurance sector.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and adhering to internal policies and procedures
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in preparing invoices and managing credit control or resolving account queries.
  • Cert CII qualified or working towards a Chartered Insurance Institute qualification (desirable but not essential).


In order to be successful, you will have a good customer service focus, the ability to identify risk/issues and seek advice/consultation when required, good communication and interpersonal skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
