  • High-Value Contracts – Manage agreements up to £10 million, from complex ICT systems to major infrastructure projects
  • Station Quarter Development – Provide commercial legal support for one of the region's most significant regeneration schemes

What You'll Do

  • Draft, negotiate, and advise on commercial contracts ranging from service agreements to major capital projects
  • Provide expert procurement law advice ensuring compliance with public sector regulations
  • Handle grant funding agreements and subsidy control matters
  • Advise on GDPR compliance across commercial arrangements
  • Support ICT contract negotiations and technology procurement
  • Work on construction and development agreements for major infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with finance, project management, and service delivery teams
  • Provide training and guidance to officers on commercial and procurement matters

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor with current practicing certificate, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEx
  • Strong commercial contracts experience with public sector knowledge preferred
  • Understanding of procurement law and public sector regulations
  • Experience with grant funding agreements and subsidy control (desirable)
  • Knowledge of GDPR and data protection in commercial contexts
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness
  • Ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal colleagues
  • Ambition to develop expertise in high-value commercial work
