Recruitment Officer (In-house)
Location: Willand, Devon
Salary: £33,000 to £37,500

Working Hours - Full-time, onsite role requiring regular interaction with managers and teams across the site
About the Company
This role is based at a large food production facility in Willand, Devon, which supplies high-quality poultry products to major retailers and food service providers. The business operates in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.
About the Role
The Recruitment Officer will play a vital role in attracting, engaging, and retaining top talent across the site. This includes managing end-to-end recruitment processes, participating in local events, and continuously enhancing recruitment strategies to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers to assess staffing requirements and develop cost-effective recruitment plans
- Lead local recruitment efforts, especially in surrounding towns and areas
- Represent the company at job fairs and other recruitment events
- Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including job advertising, candidate communication, and onboarding
- Build and maintain relationships with job centres and other external partners
- Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives
About You
This role suits a proactive, personable recruiter with strong communication skills and a passion for connecting with people.
Key Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in recruitment; experience in manufacturing or food production is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple recruitment activities
- Understanding of legal and ethical recruitment standards
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to recruitment events
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
