Contract position: Non-Financial Risk Officer

Location: Milton Keynes| 6 month contract | Hybrid working

Currently looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Non-Financial Risk Officer to support the delivery of the new Provision 29 requirements under the 2024 Corporate Governance Code. This role plays a key part in strengthening the risk management framework, with a focus on material controls across all risk types.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to workstreams focused on identifying and assessing material controls
• Design and implement processes for control inventory and effectiveness monitoring
• Define system requirements for centralised control and issue repositories
• Support the development of reporting for senior committees and the Board
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to embed new methodologies
• Assist in training, documentation, and dry-run reporting ahead of 2026 implementation
• Support the development and implementation of a structured issue management process, ensuring effective tracking, escalation, and resolution

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in non-financial risk, governance, or internal controls
• A proactive self-starter who thrives in dynamic environments and is quick to identify and act on opportunities for improvement or innovation
• Strong analytical and documentation skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally and engage with senior stakeholders
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and risk systems is a plus
