Are you an experienced Medical Editor with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality, compliant medical content? Do you enjoy mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring editorial excellence?
We’re looking for a Medical Editor to join our dynamic Medical Communications team, working on a variety of Medical Education projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a broad skillset who can confidently review and refine complex materials, support quality checks for junior team members, and ensure adherence to ABPI compliance and other industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and refine complex medical and scientific content across multiple formats (e.g., slide decks, manuscripts, training materials, websites, and more).
- Quality Control: Oversee editorial quality checks, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency while upholding house style and client preferences.
- Mentorship & Review: Support and guide junior editors and writers, reviewing their work for quality, structure, and adherence to best practices.
- Compliance: Ensure materials align with ABPI Code of Practice and other relevant industry guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with medical writers, account managers, and scientific teams to deliver high-quality outputs on time and within scope.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Proven experience as a Medical Editor in a Medical Communications or Medical Education setting.
✔ Strong ability to edit complex scientific content with precision and clarity.
✔ Experience reviewing junior colleagues’ work and providing constructive feedback.
✔ Solid understanding of ABPI compliance and industry regulations.
✔ Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
✔ A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and workflow improvement.
