Psychotherapist OR Psychologist - CYP trauma in Leicestershire

Job description

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a HCPC registered Psychologist OR an accredited Psychotherapist to work within children/young people residential services based in/ around Leicester, Oadby and North Northamptonshire.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be delivering assessments, formulations and therapeutic care planning. Alongside this, you will create assessment reports, and support plans.

The successful candidate will deliver therapeutic interventions to children and young people, and developing trauma informed practice.

You will also offer consultations and deliver training in topics such as complex/developmental trauma, attachment and therapeutic parenting for staff teams. Additionally, you will attend and contribute to clinical supervision for Assistant Psychologists within the multi-disciplinary team.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – full time, 40 hours per week

Salary - £40,000 - £80,000 FTE DOE

Experience required:

For Psychologists:

The ideal candidate must hold HCPC registration and ideally have experience of working with young people with complex presentations eg a CAMHS, LAC or YOS. You must have previous residential experience.

For Psychotherapists:

The ideal candidate must hold accreditation (or be working towards this) and ideally have experience of working with young people with complex presentations eg a CAMHS, LAC or YOS. You must have previous residential experience.
