Financial Planner | Bath / Hybrid | £70,000 Basic + Bonus + Inherited Client Bank

We’re representing a highly respected independent financial planning and investment management business with an urgent need for an experienced Financial Planner to join their team.

This opportunity provides immediate access to a well-established client bank, available due to the planned retirement of a longstanding adviser.

You’ll initially be based in the Bath office, with a planned relocation to central Bristol in due course due to the firm’s acquisition by a reputable Bristol-based wealth group. (Notably, this transition will not impact your client bank).

The Opportunity:

• £70,000 basic salary
• Bonus structure with no cap

3.5 x validation, 33% of everything over that

• Inherited portfolio of c.100 clients

Circa £25 million AUM, generating £150k–£160k in recurring income

• Hybrid/Flexible working - no mandated office days

Your Role:

As a client-facing Financial Planner, you’ll take over and nurture an existing portfolio while identifying further opportunities to grow through referrals, introducers (e.g. Accountants and solicitors), and your own networks. You’ll be supported by a first-class paraplanning and admin function, allowing you to focus on providing high-quality advice across pensions, investments, and estate planning.

What You’ll Need:

• Level 4 qualification (e.g. DipPFS, DipFA, or CISI Level 4) – essential
• Chartered (or on the path) – desirable
• 3–5 years’+ experience giving holistic financial advice
• Strong relationship and communication skills
• Commercial awareness and business development mindset
