Production Engineering Analyst – Murex

A global capital markets firm is looking for an Application Support Engineer to support their front-to-back trading systems across FX, Commodities, and Fixed Income desks. This is a high-impact, hands-on support role within the London-based engineering team. You’ll provide direct support to front office traders and manage the stability of a live Murex platform (MX.3/G2000).

What you’ll be doing:

• 2nd/3rd line support for Murex trading and risk applications across FXC, FXO, GPM, and Base Metals desks.
• Incident, problem, and change management within a live trading environment.
• Handling end-to-end trade lifecycle support: pricing, trade capture, P&L, confirmations, and settlement.
• Batch monitoring, vendor coordination, and release support.
• Supporting electronic risk reporting and confirmations.

What we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of hands-on Murex (MX.3) experience in production support roles.
• Strong understanding of FX products: Spot, Forwards, NDFs, Swaps, Options.
• Familiarity with MXML, workflows, pricing engines, yield curves, risk/P&L figures.
• Technical background: Java, Unix/Linux, SQL (Sybase), Python/scripting, ITRS, Splunk.
• Exposure to ITIL processes and working in a regulated production support setting.
