About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure and data centre development organisation. You will play a critical role in the commercial management of high-value, complex projects across the UK. With several exciting new-build and upgrade programmes in the pipeline, this is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking team delivering innovative, technically demanding developments. We are offering flexibility on base location, with offices and project sites across the UK.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial aspects of major infrastructure or data centre development projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare and review tender documentation, cost estimates, and pricing schedules
  • Conduct contract administration including valuation of variations, claims and change control
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts ensuring projects are delivered within financial targets
  • Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring best value and risk mitigation
  • Provide detailed and accurate reporting to clients and senior stakeholders
  • Support the wider project team with procurement strategy, commercial planning and performance reviews
  • Ensure full compliance with company procedures, industry regulations and contract terms (e.g. NEC, JCT)


Experience & Qualifications

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a QS on large-scale infrastructure (e.g. Highways, rail, utilities) or data centre development projects
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts (preferably NEC or JCT)
  • Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
  • Chartered status (RICS or working towards it) is desirable
