Cleary & Co Solicitors are currently looking for an experienced Solicitor/Fee Earner to work in their housing disrepair team. The candidate must have experience handling Housing Disrepair files from start to end. The fee earner must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Litigation Executive.

Ideally you will have 12-18 months' experience of working on housing disrepair cases with strong knowledge of the housing disrepair protocol.

If you have a strong litigation background personal injury fee earners who are looking to retrain into Housing will also be considered.

Requirements:

• Qualified Solicitor or CILEX.
• Minimum: 12-18 months' experience of working on housing disrepair cases.
• Have a full understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair cases
• Have a full understanding of Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Section 4 of the Defective Premises Act 1972, common law nuisance and negligence
• Take a pragmatic commercial approach to settlements and advising clients as to litigation/cost risk
• Excellent client care skills
• Achieve various targets set in relation to WIP, fee income, and settlements, etc
• Eagerness to be involved in the firm’s social media presence and writing blogs for the firm’s website.
