Aldwych Consulting Ltd is looking for an Building Surveyor in Greater Bristol Area

Job description

Certainly! Here's the same advert with the emojis added back in for that extra bit of personality:

MRICS Building Surveyor – South West

Bristol / Exeter / Plymouth / Remote Flexibility

Construction Consultancy

£45,000 - £60,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Progression

Are you an MRICS Building Surveyor with a sharp eye for detail, a knack for problem-solving, and an appreciation for the finer points of buildings—like whether they’re standing up properly?

I’m working with a forward-thinking, well-respected construction consultancy that’s looking to expand its team with a talented Building Surveyor in the South West. If you're after a role with real variety, autonomy, and a clear progression path (with a few laughs along the way), this could be just the one.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team delivering work across the commercial, education, heritage, and residential sectors. From pre-acquisition surveys and dilapidations to project work and party wall matters—this isn’t a one-trick-pony kind of role.

Whether you're based in Bristol, Devon, or anywhere in between, the role offers hybrid working with flexibility to suit your lifestyle. The only fixed requirement? A passion for delivering quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • A mix of professional and project services including surveys, dilaps, party wall and project delivery
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships—think trusted advisor, not just service provider
  • Working on a variety of interesting portfolios across sectors
  • Supporting junior team members (if that's your thing)

‍♂ What I’m Looking For

  • MRICS qualified (essential – you’ve earned those letters!)
  • Experience across core Building Surveying services
  • A confident communicator with a professional, personable approach
  • Someone who enjoys variety, working with autonomy, and being part of a team that genuinely gets along

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Genuinely flexible working—no clock watching
  • Strong salary and bonus structure
  • Car allowance, pension, RICS fees paid
  • Clear progression and development plan
  • A team that’s serious about what they do—but not too serious

If this sounds like a role you’d genuinely enjoy, I’d love to hear from you.

Apply now or get in touch directly—happy to talk confidentially even if your CV isn’t quite updated yet.
