People Advisor
Our NHS client is looking for a People Advisor to join the team to work as part of the People team in delivering an effective HR & OD advisory support service to managers and staff across the service area.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience and understanding of evaluating and measuring the performance of health services.
- Experience in communications and stakeholder management
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management and/or health information systems development
- Workforce development knowledge and experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project ECDL
- Previous experience in similar role in NHS/Healthcare
- A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise.
- Skills for communication on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills.
- Ability to pull together comprehensive draft reports, data, and letters.
- Negotiating, networking and persuasive skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to re-prioritise.
- Project management skills.
- Skills for manipulating information.
- Advanced keyboard skills, use of a range of software.
Your Responsibilities
- Advising, supporting and assisting managers in the application of all HR & OD policies through telephone, e-mail, or face to face interactions.
- Managing a small casework focusing on absence & capability with support from People Manager/HR Business Partner
- Managing general HR and OD queries via telephone, email, or the dedicated inbox.
- Provide administration support for recruitment and secondment process and procedures.
- Provide administration support for change management and consultation programmes
- Providing recruitment and selection support, in terms of advertising campaigns, interviewing and assessment etc
- Advising on employment contracts, NHS policy and terms and conditions.
- Designing delivering ad hoc presentations or basic training on a range of HR & OD subjects as and when required by managers at all levels within the organisation.
- Keeping up to date on employment law issues and forthcoming legislation including identifying any impact on organisational policies and procedures.
- Attending meetings as and when required with all relevant customers and team as a representative of the People Directorate.
