Chartered Surveyor - Asset Management Specialist

Location: Birmingham

Contract Type: Permanent


Our client, a leading UK property consultancy, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Chartered Surveyor to join their asset management team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled surveyor to advance their career within a respected and dynamic organisation.


Position Overview

The Chartered Surveyor will play a crucial role in managing a diverse property portfolio, providing strategic advice to clients, and ensuring legal compliance across all work carried out. This position offers the chance to work on a wide range of projects and make a significant impact within the asset management team.


Responsibilities

  • Manage assets, engaging with clients, tenants, and contractors
  • Conduct land and property valuations
  • Handle property lettings and tender management
  • Engage with landowners and stakeholders at all levels
  • Provide strategic portfolio advice, including diversification and disposals
  • Ensure legal compliance on all work carried out
  • Mentor and coach junior team members


Requirements

  • RICS qualified with post-qualification experience in surveying
  • Valuation experience and RICS Registered Valuer status preferred
  • CAAV probationer status desirable
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Business development-oriented with focus on customer service
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Full driving licence essential
