A forward-thinking engineering and manufacturing organisation is seeking a driven and passionate HSE Advisor to join its high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real impact in shaping a positive Health, Safety and Environmental culture across a complex and evolving site.
In this role, the successful candidate will be at the heart of ensuring that daily operations meet and exceed best practice, while also supporting long-term compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
This is more than just a compliance role, it’s about challenging unsafe behaviours, leading improvements, and being the go-to expert for all things HSE across the business.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Championing a proactive and positive HSE culture across all departments
- Leading site-wide compliance efforts for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Monitoring regulatory changes and driving forward best-practice initiatives
- Facilitating internal and external audits, customer visits and certification body assessments
- Producing clear and engaging HSE reports, newsletters, and bulletins
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to conduct risk assessments and reduce waste
- Investigating incidents and near misses, ensuring lessons are learned and shared
- Supporting induction and ongoing training, including toolbox talks and refresher sessions
- Maintaining KPIs and spotting trends that influence strategic HSE decisions
What They’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in a similar HSE role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- NEBOSH-qualified (essential)
- Hands-on knowledge of auditing and ISO 45001 / 14001 frameworks
- Comfortable conducting inspections, compiling reports, and working with RAMS
- Someone who thrives in a busy, fast-paced setting with multiple priorities
- A confident communicator who can engage stakeholders at all levels
