Your new role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the company's purchasing, storage, and distribution functions, as well as the associated management systems. This is a diverse and hands-on role that involves maintaining key certifications (IATF16949 & ISO 9001), managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring efficient material planning and stock control. You will also play a key role in supporting IT system improvements and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the department.

What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Buyer / Purchaser / Stores Control role within a manufacturing environment- A valid forklift licence (essential)
- Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Experience in purchasing systems, stock control, and materials planning
- Proven ability to manage budgets and monitor material transactions
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments
- Familiarity with quality and environmental standards (IATF16949 & ISO 9001)
- Experience in managing and motivating staff
- High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
