Job description

Due to a recent merger, my client who is one of the UK’s leading financial services company is looking for a Lead PMO to join their Delivery Management Office. In this role, you will lead the integration central programme office team to co-ordinate all aspects of the programme including reporting, planning, governance and financial management. To be successful in this role, you will need mergers and acquisitions experience in a lead PMO capacity. Due to the size of the project, there is a high chance, the contract will be extended or moved into a permanent role.


Main responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Integration Director to oversee and execute integration programmes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all workstreams
  • Ensure risks are managed and raised in line with agreed organisational standards
  • Facilitate development and upkeeping of value cases, funding requests and cost profile
  • Tool and technology management
  • Support the Integration Director in the allocation and management of resources
  • Support the establishment and maintenance of programme governance structures


Requirements

  • Strong PMO experience including setting up a PMO from scratch
  • Strong experience of mergers and acquisitions and working on integration projects/programmes
  • Strong leadership experience – experience leading or managing a team
  • Experience working on a multi-million pound portfolio
  • Programme management skills including managing risk dependencies, issues and assumptions, planning and co-ordination, and setting/facilitating up workshops
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Financial services industry experience
