A prestigious London-based advisory firm is seeking to hire a Vice President into its Financial Institutions Group (FIG) M&A team. The firm is exclusively focused on the financial services sector and is renowned for executing high-profile, complex transactions across insurance, banking, asset & wealth management, fintech, specialty finance, and alternative asset management.


The Opportunity


As a Vice President, you will take a leadership role across transaction execution, client interaction, and internal team management. You will work closely with Directors and Managing Directors to deliver high-impact advisory services, lead workstreams, and manage junior team members. This role offers exposure to headline transactions and top-tier clients across the FIG space.


Key Responsibilities


  • Drive execution of complex M&A transactions (buy-side, sell-side, and capital raisings) across the FIG sector
  • Lead financial analysis, valuations, modelling, and preparation of key materials (IMs, management presentations, board documents)
  • Manage and mentor Analysts and Associates, ensuring high-quality output and development
  • Support Directors and MDs in origination, client pitches, and relationship management
  • Maintain deep sector expertise across FIG subsectors, including regulatory developments and market trends
  • Engage in client-facing discussions and presentations with increasing autonomy


What We’re Looking For


  • 6–9 years of experience in M&A advisory, with a strong focus on FIG, at a top-tier investment bank or elite boutique
  • Excellent technical skill set, including modelling, valuation, and strategic analysis
  • Demonstrated experience on live transactions across banking, insurance, and/or asset management
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to manage projects and teams
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive mindset in a lean, high-performing environment
  • Outstanding academic credentials from a leading institution
