1LOD Risk & Control – Markets (AVP–VP level) in London Area

London (Hybrid, 3 days/week

£80–£120k + bonus

We’re hiring for a front-office aligned 1LOD Risk & Control role supporting Markets businesses at major financial institutions.

This is a hands-on, high-exposure opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of non-financial risk in a trading environment - ideally someone who’s been close to the business, understands front-to-back processes, and can confidently engage with desk heads, risk, and control partners.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong experience in a Markets risk & control or business management role (1LOD or close proximity)
• Familiarity with core processes like RCSA, incident management, read-across, and controls testing
• Knowledge of key risk areas: unauthorised trading, conduct, model governance, market abuse, operational resilience
• Someone comfortable handling regulatory pressure, internal/external audit, and control remediation
• Clear communicator who can drive issues to resolution and challenge constructively

This isn’t a policy-heavy second line role. It's for someone who wants to get into the detail, and make a difference.
