Hutchesons’ Grammar School is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Head of Estates to lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our unique portfolio of buildings, grounds, and facilities across multiple sites in Glasgow.


This is a pivotal opportunity to join one of Scotland’s leading independent schools as we embark on a new phase of investment in our estate. You will be working closely with the Director of Finance, and Director of Operations, creating spaces where young people can thrive, learn, and excel.


Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will play a central role in driving strategic and capital projects, ensuring statutory compliance, and delivering first-class facilities management. You will lead and inspire a diverse team spanning maintenance, transport, and commercial lettings, fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.


We are looking for a leader with proven experience in estates or facilities management. You will combine strong project management expertise with the ability to balance strategic planning and day-to-day operations.
