Machinery Buyer | Near Saxmundham | Up to £38,000 + Excellent Benefits + Hybrid Working

We’re hiring a Machinery Buyer to join a progressive procurement team within a well-established, agriculture-focused organisation.

This is more than a typical buying role — you’ll have real influence over supplier strategy, lead a small team, and support a loyal member network with expert, unbiased advice.

Essential: You must have proven experience and knowledge of agricultural machinery — particularly tractors and combine harvesters.

Essential Experience & Knowledge:

• Buying/procurement experience in agriculture, machinery, vehicles, or engineering
• Strong understanding of agricultural equipment, especially tractors and combine harvesters
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Office experience, Organised, IT literate, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Sourcing and negotiating purchases of farming machinery, tractors, vehicles, and related services
• Building and managing supplier relationships to improve pricing, service, and innovation
• Providing hands-on advice to members, ensuring products match their operational needs
• Identifying commercial opportunities to broaden the product offering
• Leading and mentoring a small, capable team
• Managing supplier data, contracts, and processes to maintain high standards

What You’ll Bring:

• Experience in procurement or buying within agriculture, machinery, vehicles, or engineering
• In-depth understanding of farming equipment, especially tractors and combine harvesters
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Organised, IT-savvy, and confident working both independently and collaboratively
