Head of Compensation
Are you ready to shape the future of reward in a fast-paced, evolving business? We're looking for a Head of Compensation to lead our clients Group-wide compensation strategy —ensuring it’s competitive, fair, and aligned with their business goals.
In this high-impact role, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation—up to and including the Group CEO—bringing insight, clarity, and innovation to their reward offering. You'll lead a team of talented professionals and oversee the delivery of key annual reward cycles, incentive design, and pay governance.
What you’ll be doing:
- Play a key role in shaping and executing Group compensation strategy
- Advise and influence senior leadership on pay and reward matters
- Lead the annual salary review and bonus planning processes
- Oversee salary structures, incentive schemes, and job architecture
- Use market data and benchmarking to inform reward decisions
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and business leaders to drive engagement and retention
- Manage vendor relationships for surveys and reward technology
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Build relationships with union reps on pay negotiations
- Lead and develop a high-performing reward team
What you’ll bring:
- Deep reward expertise across both fixed and variable compensation
- Strong commercial acumen and a head for numbers
- Experience influencing and advising at Executive and Board level
- Track record of designing and implementing effective incentive plans
- A collaborative approach and strong stakeholder management skills
- The ability to lead through complexity and ambiguity
- Experience in large, complex, and/or regulated organisations
- CIPD or equivalent professional qualification (desired)
