James Andrews are proud to be partnering with a leading not-for-profit employer who are now looking to appoint an L&D Advisor on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based in Bedfordshire, with hybrid working offered alongside a competitive salary from £35,000 per annum dependent on experience, skills and knowledge.


The ideal candidate will have experience of co-ordinating L&D programmes and initiatives to meet business needs and objectively evaluating their success!


Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supporting the L&D Manager to champion a learning, development and personal growth culture throughout the organisation
  • Working alongside the L&D Manager and L&D Partner input into the design and delivery of the learning, development and personal growth culture strategy to enhance individual, team and business performance
  • Coordinating the creation of an annual L&D communications plan
  • Actively promote the value of L&D opportunities for the business and individual colleagues
  • Working with the Communication team to develop and maintain an engaging and varied L&D communication plan, ensuring regular informative and topical updates in a style appropriate for the targeted audience
  • Working with the Communication team ensure regular, up to date and varied L&D information is always available on the system
  • Undertaking any L&D related projects as requested by the L&D Manager
  • Supporting and leading on assigned projects


Experience required:

  • Experience of coordinating L&D programmes and initiatives to meet business needs and objectively evaluating their success
  • A full UK Driving Licence
  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment


Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

  • Knowledge of learning and development methods, colleague engagement and talent management programmes
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across the business
  • A CIPD/L&D qualification or studying for the qualification
