A leading international law firm is seeking a talented and commercially minded Project Finance Lawyer to join its expanding Energy Transition and Infrastructure practice. This is a unique opportunity to work on some of the most complex and high-profile projects across the UK and globally, with a strong emphasis on emerging markets and the Middle East.


The Team


Recognised as a top-tier practice, this team advises a global client base on market-shaping energy and infrastructure transactions. With a collaborative culture and a future-facing focus, the team is at the forefront of projects that span renewable energy, conventional power, oil & gas, and major infrastructure developments.


Key Responsibilities


You will take a leading role in a variety of major transactions, including:


  • Advising on project finance structures and negotiating key finance documents such as facility agreements, intercreditor agreements, and security packages
  • Reviewing and advising on term sheets and capital structures
  • Managing complex cross-border due diligence processes
  • Coordinating transaction closing requirements, including conditions precedent and interactions with local counsel
  • Supporting clients across the full project lifecycle from development through to financial close

What We're Looking For


  • 4+ years’ PQE with solid experience in project finance, ideally from a leading law firm
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure and energy project structures and financing
  • Experience advising sponsors, lenders, or government bodies on large-scale or cross-border deals
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and transaction management skills
  • Ability to work across jurisdictions and manage client expectations with confidence
  • Strong academic background and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • A team player with a collaborative approach and interest in business development
