Quantity Surveyor – Design & Build Contractor | Bristol

Salary: Up to £85,000 + Package

Location: Bristol (projects across the South West)

Walker & Sloan are representing a successful and growing Design & Build fit out contractor based in Bristol that’s looking to strengthen its commercial team with the addition of an experienced Quantity Surveyor.

Working across high-profile CAT A / CAT B commercial fit out projects, this is an exciting opportunity to join a contractor with a reputation for delivering creative, design-led schemes across the South West and beyond.

The Role

You’ll take full commercial responsibility across multiple D&B fit out projects—managing costs from procurement through to final account. This is a fast-paced role requiring sharp attention to detail, excellent supplier negotiation skills, and the ability to work closely with clients, designers, and delivery teams.

The successful candidate will be involved at both pre-construction and delivery stages, with a strong focus on accurate cost management, subcontractor control, and margin protection.

✅ Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the design & build or commercial fit out sector
• Strong knowledge of CAT A / CAT B office fit out projects
• Previously worked on schemes ranging from £1m to £10m+
• Excellent commercial acumen, procurement knowledge, and subcontractor negotiation
• Able to work independently and as part of a wider delivery team
• Based in or commutable to Bristol / South West
