Head of Supplier Management | £90,000 to £100,000 | £5,500 car allowance | 60% bonus | + great corporate benefits package | London or Leeds - 2 days a week in the office | A newly formed technology and gaming business
A newly formed role following a large company and procurement transformation, which has resulted in a brand new Head of Supplier Management to manage the full supplier base across IT/Technology, Corporate and Customer focused areas. This role will be a fast paced, ever changing a demanding challenge, so you will need to adapt quickly and work with agility.
Reporting directly into the Chief Procurement Officer to lead and managed the SRM function, building out the team as you see fit in line with the company growth goals.
For this role you will need to have been in a Head of SRM, SRM Leadership or Head of Vendor Management position, where you have ideally been part of a business transformation in a newly formed function to understand how it is best to structure the function.
Role and responsibilities:
- Reporting directly into the CPO
- Create relevant SRM strategies through to the delivery and performance including year on year annualised savings
- Analyse, manage and improve ongoing supplier performance with new and existing suppliers
- Manage a team of Supplier Relationship Managers, who will be based in the UK and overseas
- Work in parallel with the procurement function and internal stakeholders to ensure the business receives the best commercial value
- Engage, manage and influence senior stakeholders from Director to Board level to ensure buy-in, utilising strong market knowledge
- Build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a rounded knowledge of a suppliers performance
- Monitor supplier risk and performance through reporting tools and business feedback
- On top over delivering strategic projects, ensure the business is getting the best service in line with cost efficiency
Experience and requirements:
- Previous experience in a leadership role in SRM or Vendor Management
- Worked for a large, complex business ideally in the private sector that has multiple sites and offices
- Strong IT & Technology category experience is needed due to it being a large proportion of strategic spend
- Some broader corporate & indirect spend would be beneficial
- Ability to engage, negotiate and influence senior stakeholders up to Director level+
- Strong stakeholder management, using different approaches to type, level and maturity of relationship
- Analytical mindset and have strong communication skills to present ideas to the business
- Worked in a large and cross-functional SRM team
- MCIPS qualification nice to have, but not essential
