Corporate Counsel - VC Fund (12 month FTC) in City of London

Job description

Leader in early-stage investment within the life-science and technology sector is looking for a Corporate Lawyer to join their busy team on an initial 12-15 month fixed term contract commencing by late-August to cover for a period of maternity leave. Central London office, hybrid working.

Reporting to the General Counsel you will have a varied remit including;

• leading on transactional matters, drafting and reviewing documentation for investments, shareholder, loan agreements and M&A contracts
• working closely with portfolio companies at all stages of their growth life cycle
• overseeing financing rounds and exit events
• liaising extensively with stakeholders across the business and portfolio
• instructing external counsel and project management

To be considered for this opportunity you will be 5+ years a guide with experience gained in the Corporate practice of a top tier firm and/or in a relevant role in-house. Technical experience and expertise across private and public corporate and company law, PE and VC investments, M&A, along with working knowledge of the Companies Act, Listing Rules, Takeover Code etc is essential.
