Junior Service Designer – Public Sector

Location: London (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £55,000

Clearance: Active SC clearance required

We’re looking for a Junior Service Designer who’s ready to take the next step in their career and gain hands-on experience in a consulting environment.

This is an ideal role for someone with a foundation in service design who’s eager to work on real-world challenges, learn from experienced practitioners, and contribute to services that make a meaningful impact across the UK public sector.

What You’ll Do:

• Support service design activities across discovery, alpha, and beta phases
• Contribute to user research, journey mapping, and service blueprinting
• Help visualise complex systems and identify opportunities for improvement
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in agile delivery environments
• Apply GDS service standards and inclusive design principles

What You’ll Bring:

• 2 years experience in service design or a related discipline
• A portfolio or examples of work that show your thinking and approach
• A strong interest in public sector transformation and user-centred design
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Active SC clearance and 5 years of continuous UK residency
