Primavera P6 Project Planner


We’re hiring a Primavera P6 Project Planner to support the delivery of a multi-million-pound security installation project involving CCTV, access control, and electronic security systems. You’ll be joining a proactive and highly successful SME so you must be comfortable with responsibility and straight line reporting to the MD and client.

Location: Based in Camberley, with regular travel to the project site in Sunbury


Salary: C£60,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM start

Driving Licence: Essential (site visits required)


About the Role

This is a key planning role within a major infrastructure project. You’ll be responsible for developing, managing, and monitoring project timelines using Primavera P6, working closely with technical and on-site teams to ensure everything runs on schedule and within scope.

We’re looking for someone with strong decision-making abilities, a consultative approach, and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels. You’ll need to be assertive when required, but always approachable and solutions-focused — someone who’s both resilient and a pleasure to work with.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain detailed schedules using Primavera P6
  • Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, and site teams
  • Monitor progress and prepare accurate progress reports and forecasts
  • Identify risks and bottlenecks, proposing effective mitigations
  • Visit the Sunbury site regularly to ensure schedules align with real-world progress
  • Support project managers with critical path analysis, resource allocation, and schedule control


What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience as a Project Planner using Primavera P6
  • Excellent planning, analysis, and communication skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities
  • A confident, collaborative, and diplomatic personality
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and influence constructively
  • Full UK driving licence (regular site travel required)


Desirable Experience

  • Familiarity with CCTV, access control, or electronic security systems
  • Experience with high-value infrastructure or technical installations
