Lead Product Designer in London Area

Job description

We’re hiring a Lead Product Designer to take the reins on a new B2B2C payments product, helping define the future of point-of-sale finance. You'll be joining a fast-moving product team working on embedded finance tools that serve merchants, suppliers, and end customers.

This is a UI-leaning, end-to-end design leadership role — perfect for someone who loves owning both systems thinking and polished interface design, and who’s comfortable designing and shipping in a high-velocity, cross-functional product environment.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading design for a new B2B2C POS finance product (think Klarna or Monzo Flex model)
• Designing for three core audiences: merchants, suppliers, and end customers
• Owning and evolving design systems, UI craft, and overall design quality
• Partnering closely with product, engineering, and commercial teams
• Mentoring a Senior Product Designer, with scope to grow the team
• Working iteratively in a 2-week sprint cycle — balancing scrappy testing with strong standards
• Collaborating with teams across London and Manchester (monthly travel to Manchester)

What we're looking for:

• A hands-on design leader with strong UI craft and an eye for clean, scalable systems
• Experience working end-to-end in embedded product teams
• Confident communicator who thrives in cross-functional settings
• Bonus points for backgrounds in lending, ecommerce, or fintech

Tools + Process:

• A modern design org embedding AI into workflows — to handle accessibility checks, design reviews, and system alignment
• A culture that encourages autonomy, fast iteration, and strong design ops

Hybrid Setup:

• 2 days per week in the London office

Salary: £100k–£105k
