Job description

We are exclusively seeking a Non-Executive Director with a CFO profile who has deep, first-hand experience in the recruitment and staffing industry.

This is a critical appointment to the board of one of our high-performing portfolio companies: a global recruitment group with over 380 employees, operating across 11 specialist markets and 9 countries, and backed by a leading private equity firm.

With a strategic exit planned within 24 months, the business is undertaking a significant technology and operational transformation—including a complete CRM platform change. We’re looking for someone who has been there and done it in recruitment—and can bring the commercial, financial, and tech perspective needed at board level.

Why This Role Is Unique

• Staffing sector only: You must have direct, senior-level experience within the recruitment industry—no exceptions.

• PE-backed with a clear 24-month growth and exit plan

• Business spans contingent, RPO, interim, and executive search

• Key role in shaping a major CRM system upgrade and tech transformation

We’re Looking For a CFO Profile Who Can:

• Demonstrate senior leadership in a recruitment and staffing business

• Bring hands-on experience of tech-led transformation, including CRM implementation (e.g., Bullhorn, Salesforce, Vincere)

• Guide strategy around outsourced finance and back-office functions

• Provide financial and commercial oversight as the business scales toward exit

• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Group CFO, contributing to high-level decision-making

What You’ll Bring to the Boardroom

• A reputation and track record in recruitment that adds weight and insight

• The ability to challenge and guide at board level with clarity and impact

• Strategic thinking around value creation, tech, operations, and exit planning

• A strong understanding of global growth, compliance, and finance best practice

This is a rare opportunity to join a world-class recruitment business at a pivotal moment in its journey. If you’re an experienced CFO/NED in the staffing industry and ready to play a key role in a high-value private equity story—we want to hear from you.
