Job Title: 2D Event Designer

Salary: £40-50k

Location: London

Reporting to: Senior 2D Designer

Role Summary:

As a 2D Designer, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and execute compelling visual concepts across a range of touchpoints, from live projects to internal communications and pitches. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to push creative boundaries, bringing fresh ideas to life while demonstrating confidence in your design decisions. You’ll have a strong background in event design and be comfortable working across both print and digital media.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the creation of innovative event concepts and graphic design languages, balancing creativity with thoughtful execution.

- Contribute to the creative direction of client projects, enhancing their brand identity to elevate creative expression.

- Oversee the implementation of 2D design concepts, incorporating feedback from internal teams and clients to ensure project success.

- Support the Creative Leaders by developing compelling presentations that communicate Wonder’s creative ideas and vision to clients.

- Collaborate with the team to incorporate strong visual language into various event elements, including 3D environments, standalone projects, and digital executions.

- Lead design elements within projects, balancing creative ambition with practical solutions to meet production requirements.

- Guide and mentor junior designers, providing feedback and support to foster their growth while maintaining the highest standards of creative output.

Experience/Skills:

- A 2D Designer with 4+ years of experience, in a similar role, ideally within the events or experiential design sector.

- A creative visionary with originality, a strong visual sense, and a passion for design.

- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for design quality.

- Commercially-minded with the ability to maximize the potential of each project while staying within budget.

- Experience in creative branding, particularly in event design. Knowledge of animation and digital design is a plus.

- Strong ability to interpret client briefs and translate them into innovative design solutions that align with their vision.

- Excellent communication skills, able to confidently present and articulate design concepts to clients and colleagues.

- Strong time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.

- A team player and natural leader, capable of guiding and inspiring junior designers to develop their skills.

- A positive, adaptable mindset, always ready to take on new challenges with a can-do attitude
